What is Stump Grinding?
Stump grinding is the process of cutting a tree stump in to small, reusable wood chips. The procedure destroys the stump and the underlying root system.
What is Crown Reduction?
Crown reduction is a process whereby the top canopy of a tree is removed, often meaning that the tree reduces drastically in size. It's a commonly used method to alter the size of a tree's canopy.
What is Pollarding?
It is a method of pruning that keeps trees and shrubs smaller than they would naturally grow. It is normally started when a tree or a shrub reaches a certain height, and annual Pollarding will restrict the plant to that height.
What is Dead Wooding?
Dead Wooding is whereby branches or limbs die off within a tree and can then break and fall over time or during periods of high winds and storms. If dead limbs are left they will affect the overall healthy areas of the tree as rot and disease can set in and spread to healthy areas.
What is Crown Lifting?
Tree crown lifting is the removal of lower branches to lift the height of the crowns base. It's carried out to increase the clearance between the ground and lower branches.
